Ever thought of becoming a Strong Start Volunteer? Strong Start volunteers use the Letters, Sounds and Words™ program in a fun and engaging way to help young children learn to read. Volunteers work one-on-one with a child during the school day, playing carefully designed games and activities that boost literacy skills. Volunteers report they love the program, enjoy working with children, and feel rewarded as they can see the improvement in children’s reading skills.
