Strong Start Volunteers Needed!

Would you like to help our Kindergartens and Grade 1’s learn to read? If yes, we ask you to become a Strong Start Volunteer. The program requires that you attend 2 days of training, but after that you come to the school once or twice a week for as much time as you are able to volunteer, and work one-on-one with students doing reading related games and activities. People who have taken the training and volunteered last year, rave about the progress and success the children made. They found it very fulfilling. All of the materials are supplied by the school and are ready to go! All we need is you!! If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Champagne, our grade 1/2 teacher who is in charge of the program by talking to her after school or giving her a call at school at 519.752.5900.
